Kathleen MargaretTAYLORSorry we couldn't be there with you at your funeral on the 20th Dec 2024, but we take comfort in the goodbyes we've already shared. We were lucky enough to be with you at the end and to share 3 months with you at the beginning of the year. Whether we were playing games, visiting the Crealock for Sunday roast or working in the garden, we will always cherish that time. I remember agreeing to partake in a bird watching survey which required us to record the different bird varieties we saw in your garden. You were quite insistent I kept the numerous bird feeders full; although it was very evident you were trying to feed the entire South West bird population personally from your little garden. We were so focused on watching the birds and trying to out-do each other with seeing new species first, we were still counting 3 days after the cut-off date. They were fun times. You loved and lived for all those around you, from your family of blood to the family you chose, your friends, of which you had many. You valued them all in equal measure. You had such a generous heart and I will always value the close relationship we shared. We're not religious but I do believe, an energy as beautiful and generous as yours, can only go back into the world and become something as beautiful in turn. Whilst at your bedside watching you slip away, I struggled with accepting the knowledge that I was losing you. We have the same creative souls and you were so encouraging. As a way to find peace with the situation I wrote you one last poem as a final farewell. You're finally at peace mum, we will love you always, forever in our hearts and never forgotten, I'll always hold you close in our locket. Tammey & Jamie xx
